Friday, August 19th was a happy occasion as PennDOT reopened the former Hulmeville Avenue bridge after a two-year replacement project. The bridge has been renamed the PFC John E Candy Memorial bridge in honor of a local young Marine who gave his life in Vietnam in 1968.
